Valley Region Middle School No. 3

Duct will be hitting the job in a month
This is a $32 Million Dollar new construction prevailing wage project (LAUSD) being built in the city of Sun Valley. The project address is 8601 Arleta Avenue (map). The HVAC has been awarded to Sheldon Mechanical Corporation, and the Foreman (Mike Boehammer) is now on site inserting hanger strap on the project.

Arcadia High School Performing Arts Center

 This is a $20 Million Dollar prevailing wage project being built at Arcadia High School (map) and is scheduled to be completed by next summer. Iron workers are on site raising steel now, and the general contractor expects the HVAC contractor on site in about 30 days to start the rough in. Both the HVAC and the architectural sheet metal was awarded to union contractors.

Valley Region Span K-8 School No.1

This is a $38 Million Dollar new construction, prevailing wage project in the city of Sylmar (map). I posted this project in January during the early stages of development, and now the job is getting close to being ready for manpower. AireMasters Air Conditioning (map) has the HVAC and Weiss Sheet Metal (map)has the architecural. The Superintendents for both companies do the hiring of all sheet metal workers.

The HVAC has been awarded to West-Tech Mechanical (map), and the general sheet metal has been awarded to Commercial Metal Systems Inc. (map). Eberhard SMC is hoping to man up at Luther Burbank Middle School next week

You may remember that I posted that Eberhard SMC was awarded the architectural sheet metal contract on this project, along with Preferred Heating & A/C back in early January, but had not started work yet. Well I met with the Foreman (Raul Sanchez) running this project for Eberhard today who told me that they are only about 15% complete with their scope of work.
